Many advances were made in the field of technology in the 1900's, such as motorized vehicles. Ford's Model-T, the first motorized vehicle, was created in the 1900-1904 time frame, but was produced in 1908, which made an enormous impact on both our country and the world.

Phones have evolved drastically over the past few decades.
Although it was invented in 1876 the phone was much more popular and advanced in the 1900's. The phone even became wireless towards the end of the century, and as it became smaller, more simpler, and they gave it many more applications (apps), the phone rose in popularity to the point that it is extremely uncommon to find an adult or child without one.

Almost every single technology or tool you use today is not the first of its kind. It is most likely an ancestor of the great inventions of this past century. If it were not for the past, there would be no present. And therefore no future.
